Welcome to my blog, where one may find all sorts of random, hopefully amusing tidbits about food & other things.

As a kid, I used to read a lot - any type of book, any size, any genre. As I grew older, I became more selective in the books I chose to read, and I also encountered more trouble in picking out a good book to read.

I would like to become more tolerant, and read more, as well. This (if you saw it earlier) began as a list of books that were must-reads or classics. I chuckle at my audacity in believing I would be so motivated or have so much time. So now it's just a plain ole list. I welcome recommendations!

Currently Reading:
- The Emperor of All Maladies [Siddhartha Mukherjee]
- Cutting for Stone [Abraham Verghese]
- Unaccustomed Earth [Jhumpa Lahiri]

Recently Finished: (most recent at top)
- The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy [Robert Ludlum]
- House of God [Samuel Shem]
- Complications [Atul Gawande]
- One Day [David Nicholls]
- Little Bee [Chris Cleave]

  1. Book recommendation: The Golem and the Jinni. Quite a beautiful novel.
